In the 21 years developing Bedford Hospital, Dr. McConnachie has overseen a 4-theatre operating building, a "High-Care Ward" (intensive care), an Out-patient orthopedic clinic building, a modern spinal cord injury building, numerous courses for up-grading nurse education, a Physical Therapy Assistant course, 6 houses for physicians and other staff with two more in construction among many other accomplishments

Jenny has established a health clinic at Itipini, a community of ~3,000 living on top of the abandoned city dump, in a permenant building, a pre-school building for the children, an after school facility for the school age children, tuition for many of the children to attend school, an occuptational/craft room for the adults, a community garden, a hospice, and one hot meal for the pre-school children daily as well as food packages for the ill and aged.
